Lois goes to a meeting of the Volunteers for Peace, a group trying to stop rearmament. Lois speaks out against the leader and he incites the crowd to attack her. Superman arrives just in time to save her. Superman overhears plans to sabotage certain of Metropolis’ capitals to allow for an attack by Nation X. Superman tries to stop the sabotage but several planes arrive and start bombing the city. Superman manages to smash the planes and to force the leader to retreat. The Leader of Volunteers for Peace warns the citizens to surrender during a radio broadcast. Lois tries to stop him and is captured but Superman rescues her and catches the traitor.
